This group is for watercolor artwork only; created by you from paint and water on your table and a brush in your hand. I will only accept beautiful, inspiring paintings...those which uplift the viewer. No dark or unpleasant.

RULES:
1. Family-friendly (no nudity, sexuality, violence, skulls, politics, etc)
2. No words or written messages on the artwork (unless part of the subject being painted)
3. No digital painting, digitally altered photographs. NOTHING digital. That includes no digital frames, digital removal of backgrounds or digital touchups. If I am in doubt, it will be removed.
4. The use of gouache, pen and ink, acrylic or other mediums within the watercolor painting MUST stay as just a highlight and is up to my discretion.
5. No abstract/patterns/shapes. Subject must be identifiable without a doubt.


WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT ARTIST ~ featured the week of 4-27-24 ~ Lisa Tennant is chosen again as the NEW Weekly Spotlight Artist!!! Having received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University, her work is mostly urban landscapes and botanical with varying mediums, such as: charcoal, pencil, conte, and watercolor. Lisa has received several awards—most recently the 76th Michigan Watercolor Society Exhibition MWCS Members Award, is a finalist in the art competition for the Artist Magazine's September special issue, is currently a member and/or board member of several watercolor groups, including: Signature Member, Texas Watercolor Society, Watercolor Art Society-Houston and Michigan Watercolor Society, and has published a children's picture book titled 'Min Min and the Magic Garden'. In addition to her accomplishments, she is currently teaching Watercolor, 2D Foundation, and digital media courses at Central Texas College. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to her!!! HOMEPAGE SPECIAL FEATURE ARTIST ~ featured April 2024 ~ is Mary Giacomini!!!! Having been a professional artist for over 25 years, she has always loved to create. Mary earned a BFA in studio arts and has taken numerous classes and workshops over the years. Loving the outdoors, hiking and finding peaceful places, her artwork is inspired by places she’s been to and would like to return. Mary works in oil, pastel and watercolor and says, “I enjoy getting 'lost' when creating my art and recreating a scene I'd rather be in.” A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to her!!!
